Tour the Thea Foss Waterway, SR 509 cable-stayed bridge, 11th. St. (Murray Morgan) Bridge, Grain terminal, Navy reserve ships, we see all ships, boats, tugs and barges in the area.  Continue into the Blair waterway (on the 2 hour only) to observe
any cargo handling and shipping activity on that day.  Of course during the trip there are ample views of all mountains, famous Stadium High School, Vashon and Maury Is, plus views over toward Brown's Pt, Pt. Defiance and Gig Harbor.  There are tons of things to see and we talk about highlights without taking away from the feeling of just being there.  There are sea birds and seals etc. that can be seen on this trip yet the themes are primarily the manifold man-made things and stunning natural vistas to take in plus the frequent opportunity to see ships and port operations in action.

Sunset on the Thea Foss Waterway and Commencement Bay Tour (1 Hour)

Feel free to bring a blanket as the sun fades over the Thea Foss Waterway and Commencement Bay.  We go out into the sound while we gently cruise along a bit of Ruston Way and restaurant row.  We will turn toward the Brown's Pt. light house opening distant views of Vashon Is and the ferryboat and even Pt. Defiance, Gig Harbor and the saw tooth silhouette of the Olympics. Looking east might be the full majesty of Mt. Rainier.  On our return the city invites for an evening of more fun and surprises!

City Lights on the Bay Tour (1 hour)

This is a very special cruise as the twilight turns to night and the city lights come to life.  The summer night air gets heavier and begins to fall. The world as seen from the boat becomes mysterious and is new in every way from the day.  We cruise the Thea Foss Waterway and out into Commencement Bay on the Puget Sound for a cruise you will always remember!

Harborview Dr. Gig Harbor, WA 98332  Very limited, free on-street parking.  Restaurant parking lot is off limits during dining hours.  Try Franklin St. one street up the hill, walk down the Finholm view-climb stairs and cross the street. Gig Harbor and Sound Vistas Tour (1 Hour)

This is a wonderful, leisurely cruise that leaves from Rent-A-Boat in Gig Harbor at Anthony’s Restaurant and glides out into Gig Harbor revealing the sights, sounds and feel that you should find enchanting and inspiring.  We will leave the harbor, negotiating the narrow passage that is at the “point-of-Gig Harbor” and head out into the Puget Sound among the yachts and fishing boats.  We will have distance views of Pont Defiance, the Narrows, Vashon Island, Brown’s Point, Tacoma and the lap or more of Mt. Rainier. We will show and tell some important points of interest and history yet give you plenty of time to take it all in and enjoy your encounter.  On the way back we should be able to “open-up” the throttle and make some speed for fun.  We return through the harbor by another course giving you new views before our landing where we began.

Gig Harbor, Narrows Bridges / Galloping Gertie, Salmon Beach, Point Defiance (2 Hour)

This cruise leaves from Rent-A-Boat in Gig Harbor at Anthony’s Restaurant and glides out into Gig Harbor revealing the sights, sounds and feel that you should find enchanting and inspiring.  We will leave the harbor, negotiating the narrow passage at the mouth of Gig Harbor and head down into the narrows past Pt. Evans as the Narrows Bridges are revealed.  We bob along in the current until we pause to take in the grandeur of our two bridges that stand and pay homage to “Galloping Gertie” that lays on the sea floor below us.  We make the start of our return and head north, pausing for a photo of the entire span.  We add power through the Narrows depending on the current then glide past storied Salmon Beach and Pt. Defiance.  Frequently we see sea lions and harbor seals feeding on fish under the bridges.  Bald eagles can be spotted all along the route.  After floating around in the tide rip current off Pt. "D" for a bit we head over to Gig Harbor, running close to the beach and light house then into the protected bay we take in the incredible scene that unfolds.  We’re back in Gig Harbor!
